Zhin is a Flank Class Champion in Paladins, added on June 13, 2017.[1]

Tips Edit

Playing Zhin requires a careful balance of all his abilities and constant vigilance.

Inferno Blade
While Inferno Blade can be used as a close quarter melee weapon, it doesn't have extremely high damage projectiles and is mainly effective away from open areas.
Zhin relies on other abilities to score kills and assist the team's objective.
Counter
Avoid using Counter when exposed to enemies with rapid-fire hitscan weaponry.
Counter can't be deactivated, exposes Zhin to Area Damage or blasts and makes him vulnerable. It is only useful as an attack on a desperate flanker.
If using the Retaliation Legendary Card, Counter can take an unlimited number of attacks until its duration ends. This actually makes it quite powerful against rapid-fire hitscan enemies, as they will often just keep shooting and so taking damage. In addition, as of OB54 Counter is capable of 'eating' almost all projectiles approaching Zhin from the front, including the ultimates of Inara, Pip and Mal'Damba.
Note that Maeve's Pounce and Drogoz's Dragon Punch ignore Counter completely, with Pounce not triggering it and Dragon Punch just killing Zhin instantly.
Billow
Use Billow to evade hitscan or high-damage enemy fire, then flank the objective.
Billow can be used to circle other flankers or snipers, but can't be used consecutively!
Purchase lots of Cooldown reductions to evade more effectively.
Whirl
Use Whirl to cut through evading enemies or enemies that are low on Health.
Whirl is also usable as a short-range evasive maneuver, if directed at the nearest exit.
Spite
Spite does not deal enough damage to kill most Champions, so use Whirl as well.
Use the Ultimate ability with caution - it exposes you to other enemies.
